Play with Clay – Kids July Holiday Pottery Workshops (Ages 10+)

By popular request, we are offering &quot;Play with Clay&quot; workshops for kids aged 10 years and above. <br>We’re thrilled to be offering two special workshops during the July School Holidays.<br><br>Date: 3rd July 2026<br><br>Session 1<br>Time: 3:30pm - 5.00pm (1.5hrs)<br><br>Session 2<br>Time: 5:30pm 7:00pm (1.5hrs)<br><br>These hands-on sessions give children the exciting opportunity to work on their own pottery wheel, alongside a parent or accompanying adult, in a safe and supportive studio environment. Together, they will be guided through the basics of wheel throwing — including centring clay and shaping forms — while enjoying a creative and memorable shared experience.<br>No prior experience is needed. The workshops are designed to be fun, relaxed, and confidence-building, with a strong focus on exploration rather than perfection. Both children and adults are encouraged to play, experiment, and learn together.<br><br>Important information:<br>- Suitable for children aged 10 years and above<br>- Children must be accompanied by an adult<br>- Eight children per class (one child per pottery wheel)<br>- Cost for 1x Child + 1x Adult ($150)<br>- 2 items will be glazed to take home (extra items $15 each)

Term 3 2026 - 7 weeks - Pottery Wheel Throwing Classes

Monday: 13th July to 31st Aug 2026 (no class on 17th Aug - Gap week, drying period)<br>Tuesday: 14th July to 1st Sept 2026 (no class on 18th Aug - Gap week, drying period)<br>Wednesday: 15th July to 2nd Sept 2026 (no class on 19th Aug - Gap week, drying period)<br>Thursday: 16th July to 3rd Sept 2026 (no class on 20th Aug - Gap week, drying period) <br><br>Evening Classes from 6:30pm to 9:00pm<br>Classes are held at Saltwater Community Centre, Point Cook<br><br>All skill levels are welcome! This Adult 7 weeks courses are ideal for beginners and intermediate level students. <br>Participants develop skills to create work on the potters wheel. <br><br>With only 8 students in the class, personal attention will be given to master the wheel throwing technique and pursue your own artistic creation. This is an enjoyable and social class. <br><br>Inclusive of clay, glazes and underglazes.
