A minimum of six people are required to run a term course. For workshops and other classes, minimum capacity may vary and is at the discretion of Pottery Escape.

Once a term has commenced, no refunds or transfers can be arranged.

If you are halfway through the term, we will refund you the remainder of the value of the classes you have not been able to take.
Missed & Late Classes
Pottery Escape requires 4 days’ notice in writing prior to a class within a term for a transfer of that classes to another date or term, as available. Pottery Escape cannot guarantee make-up classes due to the high volume of students. If not available, the class will be forfieted.
If you are unable to attend a class, please email nandita@potteryescape.com. It is recommended that participants make every effort to attend the full number of sessions.
It is to the discretion of the teacher to not accept a late arrival to a course if it is potentially detrimental to fellow students. This will be treated as a late cancellation.
Student Responsibilities
Students are responsible to ensure that they do not have any prior medical illness or injuries that will be exacerbated by attending the selected class, and if unsure, it is recommended for students to seek medical advice prior to attending. They are also responsible for any physical injuries and for damage or loss of personal property, whilst at the studio.
It is highly recommended that participants attend their class jewellery free. In particular, it is advised not to wear any rings, bangles, wristbands, watches or earrings. Short nails are strongly encouraged for pottery work. Please wear appropriate comfortable clothing that can get dirty, and short sleeves will also make your class easier to enjoy. Closed toe shoes are essential.
Students are required to bring their own towel and apron to each class, along with their toolkit. Due to Covid-19, toolkits cannot be shared and each student will need to bring their own or purchase one from Pottery Escape.
Students are not to remove any tools or other equipment that do not belong to them from the studio.
Firing & Pottery Work
Class work will take approximately 2-3 weeks to fire after a term finishes. Students will be notified by email when their work is ready for collection and have up to 2 weeks to collect their work. Due to space issues, uncollected work after this period will be donated to a local charity.
Pottery Escape takes extreme care firing work however by the nature of ceramics there is always a risk of technical failure for which we cannot be held responsible. We are unable to guarantee that all your work will be successfully fired.
