Play with Clay – Kids Holiday Pottery Workshops (Ages 10+)

By popular request, we are excited to finally introduce Play with Clay workshops for kids aged 10 years and above. After many years of interest from our community, we’re thrilled to be offering two special workshops during the January School Holidays.<br><br>Dates: 22nd &amp; 23rd January, 2026<br>Time: 4pm - 5.30pm (1.5hrs)<br><br>These hands-on sessions give children the exciting opportunity to work on their own pottery wheel, alongside a parent or accompanying adult, in a safe and supportive studio environment. Together, they will be guided through the basics of wheel throwing — including centring clay and shaping forms — while enjoying a creative and memorable shared experience.<br><br>No prior experience is needed. The workshops are designed to be fun, relaxed, and confidence-building, with a strong focus on exploration rather than perfection. Both children and adults are encouraged to play, experiment, and learn together.<br><br>Important information:<br>- Suitable for children aged 10 years and above<br>- Children must be accompanied by an adult<br>- Eight children per class (one child per pottery wheel)<br>- Cost for 1x Child + 1x Adult ($150)<br>- 2 items will be glazed to take home (extra items $15 each)

Term 1 2026 - 7 weeks - Pottery Wheel Throwing Classes

Monday: 9th Feb to 30th Mar (no class on 16th Mar) <br>Tuesday: 10th Feb to 31st Mar (no class on 17th Mar) <br>Wednesday: 11th Feb to 1st Apr (no class on 18th Mar) <br>Thursday: 12th Feb to 2nd Apr (no class on 19th Mar) <br><br>Evening Classes from 6:30pm to 9:00pm<br>Classes are held at Saltwater Community Centre, Point Cook<br><br>All skill levels are welcome! This Adult 7 weeks courses are ideal for beginners and intermediate level students. <br>Participants develop skills to create work on the potters wheel. <br><br>With only 8 students in the class, personal attention will be given to master the wheel throwing technique and pursue your own artistic creation. This is an enjoyable and social class. <br><br>Inclusive of clay, glazes and underglazes.
